After School Education & Safety (ASES)

About the Program

The After School Education and Safety (ASES) Program is a partnership between the Galt Joint Union Elementary School District (GJUESD) and the City of Galt's Parks and Recreation Department. The program provides enrichment and academic support for students not meeting grade-level standards.

ASES operates in conjunction with the GJUESD calendar. All minimum day hours will be followed according to the school calendar. Regular daily attendance for the full 3 ½ hours after school is mandatory to comply with grant funding requirements

Criteria for admission

The ASES Program serves grades 1-8 with priority admission given to:

1st Grade-6th Grade students who are not proficient in English/Language Arts and/or Mathematics will receive notification in the spring of their eligibility for admission for the following school year.

7th Grade-8th Grade students are admitted on a first come, first serve basis.
